13 Forde Gardens - Kerrykeel

Tastefully furnished and decorated 3 bedroom holiday home located close to the centre of Kerrykeel. All amenities of the village are within easy walking distance. Portsalon Golf Club and the fabulous sandy beach at Ballymastoker Bay are a short 10 min drive away. If you fancy learning to surf, Adventure One Surf School have their base in Kerrykeel and hold lessons throughout the summer season at Ballyhiernan Bay on the Atlantic coast - a 15 min drive northwards from the holiday home.

Fanad

The village of Kerrykeel itself is centrally situated on the Fanad Peninsula. This beautiful peninsula stretches north from the village of Milford via Kerrykeel to Fanad Head and back down to the quaint Georgian village of Ramelton via Portsalon and Rathmullan. It has some of the most remarkable cliff scenery in Ireland.  The peninsula has numerous bays, glorious beaches,  rolling hills and numerous small lakes. On the eastern shores of the peninsula the renowned Knockalla coast road offers a spectacular drive overlooking Lough Swilly and the Inishowen hills.

A 10 minute drive from the holiday home will bring you to the seaside village of Portsalon where you will find a wonderful blue flag beach and a top class golf course. Portsalon Golf Club has been extensively redesigned in the last few years and is now one of the finest links courses in the North West of Ireland.

• Take a trip along the spectacular Knockalla Coast Road

• Golf on nearby Portsalon Golf Club – a classic 18 hole links course. 

• Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep – Portsalon, Rathmullan

• Go fly fishing in the nearby Meadows fishery

• Go deep sea fishing or sight seeing on Lough Swilly (Two modern charter boats are based in Rathmullan)

• Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.

• Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe.  Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own

• Enjoy diving in the clear waters of  Mulroy and Sheephaven Bay

• Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk

  Verandah

To the rear of the holiday home there is a beautifully landscaped area which has a childs play shed with verandah and a large shed to store equipment (golf clubs, surf boards etc)

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
