No.29 Fintra Bay - Killybegs

Luxury 4 bedroom holiday home located next to  fabulous Blue Flag Fintra Beach just 2km from Killybegs in south Donegal. This modern holiday home has a light filled interior and features a large wood deck patio area to the rear. The master ensuite bedroom has a viewing balcony with views towards Donegal Bay over the surrounding landscape.

A special feature is the conservatory style dining area which floods the interior with light. The Clock Tower Restaurant is just a 2 min walk away and there is plenty of open space around the cottage for children to enjoy. With heather-clad hills, glorious sandy beaches and spectacular headlands this part of south Donegal is a pleasure to visit.

Killybegs Area

Killybegs is one of Ireland's largest fishing ports and has in recent years become very popular as a venue for windsurfing and other water sports.
The picturesque approach to the town is dominated by many gentle slopes rolling down to the beautiful Donegal Bay. It is the gateway to the villages of Kilcar, Carrick, Teelin and Glencolmcille and some of Ireland's most rugged and beautiful scenery and well known Gaeltacht region.

While in Killybegs, visit the Maritime & Heritage Centre, where there are models, displays and audio-visuals of the local fishing and maritime history of the area. This was the site of the famous Killybegs Carpet factory, and the worlds biggest hand knotted carpet loom can still be seen, along with fascinating live demonstrations of hand knotted carpet weaving.

Slieve League

Drive further west on through Carrick then head south towards Teelin; then follow the signs that point to the road leading to Slieve League, the tallest sea cliffs in Ireland and possibly Europe. They are awe inspiring!  The more adventurous may want to try the walk along the ridge called the "One Mans Path".

The living room is located next to the light filled conservatory area and features oak wood flooring, leather suite and gas fireplace. Patio doors open from this area to the side garden and provide access to the wood deck patio area (located to rear)  A large screen tv and dvd player are provided for your entertainment.

  Bedrooms

The holiday home has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 8 people comfortably. Two of the bedrooms are ensuite and there is also a bathroom with bath and separate shower located on the upper floor. The master bedroom on the upper floor has a small balcony with lovely views over the surrounding countryside.

Located to the rear of the holiday home, the wood deck patio area is perfect for alfresco dining or just relaxing in peaceful surroundings. There is plenty of open space for the kids to enjoy while a 3min walk takes you to the golden crescent of Fintra Beach.
