Located along Buncrana's shorefront, opposite the kids play park, 8 Aileach Buncrana comprises 3 modern two bedroom apartments in a recently renovated terrace building. The location is ideal for exploring Inishowen and the Historic Walled City of Derry and is within easy walking distance of all the amenities of the town. Buncrana's indoor swimming pool and leisure centre is just a 2 min walk away.

Each of the three apartments has 2 bedrooms and each sleeps 4 comfortably. The ground floor apartment overlooks the local tennis courts and kids play area while the apartment on the upper floor has panoramic views over Lough Swilly. The third apartment, with its extra spacious living/dining area, is located to the rear of this seafront building.

Buncrana

The town has a modern, fully equipped Leisure Centre complete with heated indoor swimming pool. Close to the Leisure Centre, along the seafront walk, a new kids play area with an all-weather surface, has recently been built and this superb free facility can provide hours of entertainment for children of all ages.

Golf in the Area

For the golf enthusiast there is a small 9 hole course within the town boundary while the 18 hole course at Lisfannon is a short 5 min. drive along the coast. The Crana is probably one of the finest salmon fishing rivers in the northwest and day licences are available from the local angling club.

Historic Walled City of Derry

The Historic Walled City of Derry is 25 mins by car making this an ideal base for touring the northwest of Ireland. Be sure to check out the iconic Peace Bridge and the Tower Museum or take in a bit of shopping at Foyleside.

Buncrana has a 25 metre swimming pool with play-rafts, inflatable island and also includes Sunbeds, Sauna and Steam Room also Fitness Studio - and it is only a 1 min walk from the apartments at 8 Aileach View

The fishing on the Crana river is regulated by the Buncrana Angling Association. The river flows into Lough Swilly north of the town. It holds both salmon and sea trout and is well worth fishing from late June to the end of the season. Fishing methods are confined to fly and worm in low water - spinning is allowed at high water.
