This is a truly exceptional holiday home nestling in rolling countryside in the shadow of the ancient ring fort from which it derives its name. Extending to over 3,500 sq ft, Aileach View has 7 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 16 people.

There are many appealing features inside the house, an obvious one being the six metre long communal kitchen and the two main living rooms with their vaulted ceilings enhancing the overall spaciousness. The house also features a geo-thermal heating system and has extensive wood decking to the front. Aileach View occupies a 0.75 acre landscaped site and has a large lawn for the kids to enjoy.

Aileach View is close to the Grianan os Aileach Hotel at Burt and the Red Door restaurant in Fahan. The Firebox Grill is just a 5 min drive away.

There are a wide range of entertainment within 5 mins drive to Derry - Brunswick Bowling Alley, Childrens Play and parties at Bananas, and a seven screen multiplex cinema. In addition there are is a good choice of shops and take-aways close by

Surrounding Area

The holiday home faces south towards Inch Island, the upper reaches of Lough Swilly and the ancient ring fort from which the house takes its name. The centre of historic Derry City, with its theatre, cinema, museums, shops and restaurants is only a 5 min drive by car. Letterkenny, Donegal's main town, is a 25 min drive and the house is ideally located at the base of the Inishowen peninsula. The long sandy beach at Lisfannon on the shores of Lough Swilly is a 10 min drive away.

A new car ferry service to Rathmullan operates during summer months from the pier at Buncrana and this opens up further touring possibilities. A music festival is held here during July celebrating the rich Irish traditional music heritage of the region.
