A Little Haven Cottage - Carrigart

A Little Haven is a Failte Ireland 4 star approved new house that can accommodate 8 people in spacious comfort and beautiful surroundings. The house is situated 1 km from the charming award winning village of Carrigart and with wonderful views of Sheephaven Bay, Muckish Mountain as well as the surrounding countryside and coastline.

Situated at the entrance to the beautiful Rosguil Peninsula is the delightful village of Carrigart which is a regular Tidy Towns prize winner and the local centre for shopping.

Surrounding Area

The Rosguil Peninsula divides Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay and abounds with spectacular scenery. Just 3 km away is the village of Downings, which has lively pubs and night life and is a popular tourist resort and fishing port which also caters for pleasure craft.

There are an abundance of golden sandy beaches and most water-based activities are available in the area including Windsurfing, Sailing, Diving, Surfing, Sea Angling and Boat Charters.

Local Activites and Attractions

The Rosapenna Golf Links boasts two of the finest links courses in the country – the “Old Tom Morris Course” and the new Sandy Hills Course as well as a driving range and Pitch and Put. Horse Riding, Hill Walking, Bird watching, and freshwater fishing are all available within easy dis tance. If you want to work out, then the Magherabeg Leisure Centre has a Swimming Pool, Gym, Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi available.

Within a short drive of A Little Haven,  there are numerous visitor attractions. Glenveigh National Park and Ards Forest Park are very popular. The Workhouse and famine museum in Dunfanaghy and in Churchill the Glebe House and Gallery.

Slieve League, reputedly the highest sea cliffs in Europe are within driving distance or take a day trip to Tory Island.

Letterkenny has all the amenities you would expect of a large town – cinemas, theatre, leisure centre, art galleries and excellent shopping.
