Ardeelan Lower is newly built holiday home with a superb location just 300m from the Blue Flag Rossnowlagh Beach - one of Irelands premier surfing resorts. Walking time is just 2 minutes from the front door to the beach!  The holiday home is also within easy walking distance to the well known, 'Smugglers Creek Bar and Restaurant',  the 'Gaslight Bar and Restaurant' and the Sandhouse Hotel. You could easily park your car up and leave it untouched for the length of your stay!

A Luxury Holiday Home

Ardeelan Lower is finished to a very high standard.  It has top class accommodation for up to 6 people.  There are 3 roomy bedrooms and 2 separate living areas.  The ground floor has an open plan area, featuring a beautifully, hand-made kitchen, a dining area and living space, flooded with natural light from the sun lounge, with relaxing sea views. The ground floor also comprises of a very luxurious, well decorated living room which opens onto a private patio to the rear. There is a WC located on the ground floor. 

The first floor comprises of 3 roomy bedrooms.  The master bedroom has a kindsize bed, a sitting area - suited to quiet, relaxation time, and a bright ensuite with power shower.  The double bedroom enjoys sea views and the twin bedded room is very spacious. The large, bright bathroom also has a power shower.

(Note: The holiday home has 'Pay As You Go WIFI' which is portable and can be used on the beach, if required).

Rossnowlagh and the surrounding area offer a fantastic range of activities including surfing, fishing, golfing, horse riding and walking. With soft, golden sand and exceptional views, Rossnowlagh beach is very popular with both local residents and tourists.The surf here is perfect for beginners and the local surf school offers tuition and equipment rental. As well as surfers, this beach also attracts walkers, swimmers and kayakers.

Local Attractions and Amenities

  • Surfing - Rossnowlagh has excellent surfing and the European Championships have been held here a number of times. Bundoran is also a top class surfing venue 
  • Golf - superb 18 hole links courses are located at Murvagh, near Donegal Town and at Bundoran
  • Crafts – Britton and Daughters Gallery is located beside the Sandhouse Hotel. On display you will find a vast array of artwork by Barry Britton and his daughter Easkey. There are also beautiful craft shops in Ballyshannon and Donegal Town – the Donegal Craft Village is located in the latter
  • Angling - An Duanai Mara Charter Boat is a fully licensed vessel based at Creevy Pier. It offers deep sea fishing, shark angling, and sightseeing trips on Donegal Bay
  • Horse Riding - There are a number of Equestrian centres in the region including the Five Oaks Ranch in Ballyshannon and Donegal Equestrian in Bundoran.
  • Cycling -  South Donegal abounds with small, winding roads which offer spectacular views around every corner and are ideal for cycling.
  • Beaches - In addition to Rossnowlagh there are fine beaches in Bundoran and Murvagh
  • Leisure Centres - Ballyshannon Leisure Centre has 25m indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room and fitness suite. Waterworld in Bundoran is one of Ireland's leading Indoor Aqua Adventure Playgrounds.
  • History and Heritage - Visit the the Donegal Historical Society Museum located in the tranquil setting of Rossnowlaghs Franciscan Friary. Other historic sites in the locality include the ruins of Kilbarron Castle and Wardstown Castle. Donegal Castle and the ruins of Donegal Abbey are located in Donegal Town
  • Day Trips - Within an hours drive of the holiday home there are numerous top class tourist attractions including Glenveagh National Park, The Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh, the Marble Arch Caves in Fermanagh and Slieve League in South West Donegal - the highest sea cliffs in Europe.

The bright living area, on the ground floor has been beautifully decorated with stylish and very comfortable furnishings.  The area features a wall mounted TV, and DVD.   A practical, electric fireplace provides instant heat and creates a relaxed ambience instantaneously. Double doors lead onto a private patio.

The bright open plan ground floor, has a very spacious kitchen, dining and living area.  The fully fitted, hand-made kitchen has the follwing applicance - electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and fridge-freezer. The kitchen area also features a stylish breakfast bar.

An adjacent Utility Room has ample storage space, moveable butcher blook and radio CD player and microwave.
