
Ardeen Cottage is a converted stable attached to the fabulous Ardeen House in Ramelton County Donegal. The stable of this large Victorian house been tastefully converted into a beautiful three-bedroom holiday home with many of the original features still evident such as exposed beams and stone walls. The large lawn to the front of the cottage sweeps down to the River Lennon. A conservatory looks out on a sheltered back garden. Ardeen has free wifi available to guests.
The ground floor of the cottage contains one spacious double bedroom with bath and shower, sitting room, kitchen/dining room, conservatory and utility room. Upstairs consists of a shower room, a double bedroom and one family room with a double and single bed. Rent includes gas for cooking and all necessary linen, cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment.
The village of Ramelton itself is steeped in history and heritage. It has managed to retain much of its old world charm and character through preserving many of the wonderful historical Georgian buildings that give the village a distinctive identity in this part of Ireland. The village is not only blessed with wonderful architecture, but also with a beautiful location on the banks of the River Lennon.
Within this beautiful architectural setting there is a vibrant village with many facilities for you to enjoy during your visit. The recently renovated Town Hall is the venue for a variety of entertainment including concerts and stage plays. The weekly Country Market is renowned for fresh vegetables, home baking and local handcrafted gifts. The village has many quaint pubs - the Bridge Bar is a highly regarded music venue while Conway's Pub enables the visitor to take a step back in time. Located along the beautiful quay is the building that houses the Ramelton Heritage Centre and Donegal Ancestry - the latter enabling you to trace your Donegal ancestors.
Donegal as a whole is renowned for its unspoilt beauty, superb blue flag beaches, rugged landscapes and its heritage including the breathtaking Gleanveagh National Park. Ramelton itself has a central location in County Donegal and this makes it an ideal base to tour this beautiful part of Ireland. The spectacular landscapes of the Fanad, Rosguill and Inishowen Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all with an hours drive of Ardeen Cottage.

Congratulations on an absolutely wonderful site! I was going crazy researching availability on other sites - that did not state price, no. of rooms, bathroom facilities often (even after clicking three or four links) and also did not follow a pattern for each entry. Your site is delightful. I could go through all pages of entries and with the price details given immediately did not need to waste time over entries not within my budget.
