The
largely carpeted interior along with the pine panelling and stairs, as
well as some tastefully chosen art on the walls, give this cottage a
heart-some and homely feel inside. Oil fired central heating is
efficient and the house is well insulated for the winter visitor,
including an open fire, should the guest wish to light one.
Uncluttered and unsophisticated, the
village of Ardara can very
quickly charm the heart of any visitor to the area, be they frequent or
just occasional. There are no less than 3 blue flag beaches to choose from; one of which (Narin) also has a fabulous golf course adjacent. A focal point of the town is Nancy’s Pub, only a few minutes walk from the cottage. Nancy’s is well renowned for its amazing seafood, traditional music and craic – did we mention the Guinness?
There are many festivals held in the town,
which boasts a variety of restaurants and a friendly welcoming
atmosphere. Donegal Town is just a 20 minute drive away, as is the
fishing port of Killybegs and the cliffs of Glen Colmcille. With
something for everyone in the family, it’s impossible not to relax when
you’re here. |
