Atlantic Rest - Fanad

Located on the northern tip of the Fanad Peninsula, Atlantic Rest is a 4 bedroom luxury holiday home   offering superb sea views  and proximity to a surf school and the fabulous links course at Portsalon. Ballyheirnan Bay with its large Atlantic waves is a short distance away while the imposing sight of Fanad Lighthouse will impress visitors to this largely undiscovered area.

The recently opened Mulroy Bridge gives easy access to all the amenities of the Rosgoill Peninsula - Rosapenna Golf Club, Mevagh Dive Centre and Magherabeg Leisure Centre to name but a few. The house itself is fully equipped to ensure you have a memorable self catering holiday in this beautiful area.

Surrounding Area

The beautiful Ballyhiernan Bay is only 0.5 km from the holiday home. A beautiful unspoilt sandy beach skirts this bay. This beach is the location of the Adventure One Surf School - the leading ISA (Irish Surfing Association) approved school on the north coast of Donegal.

A 10 minute drive from the cottage will bring you to the holiday village of Portsalon where you will find a wonderful blue flag beach and a top class golf course. At the village harbour there is a water sports centre where kayaks, pedal boats, wetsuits and boogie boards can be hired.

Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe.  Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
