Ballyliffin Village Homes are located close to the centre of the village and provide an ideal touring base for an extended family or accommodation for groups attending weddings at the nearby hotels. As the homes are located within easy driving distance of Ballyliffin Golf Club, this is the ideal base for your golfing group or society.
The homes are furnished in elegant contemporary style and provide all facilities to ensure you have a memorable 'home from home' holiday experience in one of Donegal's most unspoilt areas. The main living area has an open fireplace and natural oak flooring - double doors lead through to a spacious and light filled kitchen/dining area. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms and a large bathroom and here again the accent is on high quality furnishings and fittings.
Nearby activities include: Golf, Pitch & Putt, Doagh Island Visitors Centre, Quad Trekking, Pony Trekking, Nature Walks, Sandy Beaches, Fishing, Photography and Bird and Wildlife Observations.
The Doagh Visitor Centre (5 min drive) provides a great variety of exhibitions telling the story of Famine, Fear and Eviction. It is also a place where the customs, traditions and history of the people of Inishowen are preserved in a permanent way. The scenes include a Mass Rock, Presbyterian Meeting House and Orange Hall.
Make someone's dream cone true this Christmas - visit Donegal's Lapland, just outside Ballyliffin village. At Santa's Island you will hear the Story of Christmas told by one of Santa's elf's, followed by Santa arriving down the chimney with presents. After the presents are distributed you will have time to visit Santa's home and have a peek at the elves bedroom before personally placing your Christmas order in Santa's office.
The spacious kitchen/dining area is located to the rear of the house and is fully equipped with all facilities to ensure you have a memorable home from home holiday experience. Patio doors lead from this area to an enclosed rear garden and double doors lead to the main living room with its open fireplace, natural oak floor and leather furniture.
The main living room with its open fireplace, discreet lighting, widescreen tv and leather furniture is pictured above. The house is equipped and furnished to a very high standard throughout.
As the house is located close to the village centre, you are within easy walking distance of pubs, shops and hotels. The fabulous Pollan Beach is just a 10 min walk away and Ballyliffin Golf Club is 2 mins by car.
Each village home has 3 bedrooms to sleep up to 6 people. The master bedroom, located to the front of the house, is ensuite. The other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom which has a full size bath and separate shower.

I have learned through expensive experience and bitter disappointment that it is nearly always better to rent short term, than book what are often, over priced, unaccommodating hotel rooms, except in Egypt where 5* hotels are the only way to enjoy any stay.
In Venice, Florence, Paris and now Donegal the best accommodation is what you tend at first to dismiss. For me, a comfortable lounge, a proper fridge, the ability to rest, sit, sleep or eat when I want in comfort, means a rental every time.
These cottages are in fact wonderfully appointed for one nigh to a month and for value, the best short rental property I have ever enjoyed.
Lovely subtle décor, including TV, stereo, even nice CD’s, indeed every amenity you might want and offered at an exceptional price, by comparison with every other form of accommodation in the area.
We were there, sharing with two girls from the mainland, over three days for a wedding in May. Some Scottish wedding guests, their young son and grandparents, took next door for 6 days. Not one of us could offer any complaint of any fashion.
I couldn’t believe that everything was just as described on the website, if not better. Microwave, washer dryer, and hot water on demand. The large pristine kitchen was equipped to satisfy almost any cook. Only the contents of your own kitchen, assuming you like to cook, is likely to surpass the range of pots, pans and tools supplied. Also everything electrical, toasters, kettle, microwave etc worked.
The whole place was spotless, best of bed linen, ample towels, tea towels and cloths. For longer lets, a vacuum, mop and brushes, steam iron and board, and best of all plenty of washing powder, fairy liquid, cleaning fluids etc. In other words the means to keep the place as you might want or need to no matter how short or long your stay.
Sharp knives, lights which all worked, a nice little garden. Amazingly, garden furniture hidden under the stairs. The basics salt, tea etc were in the cupboards. A shop for supplies (including wine) was only a minute or twos walk away.
What wasn’t mentioned was the delightful housekeeper Madeline, who arrived a short time after us, to welcome us and explain the heating etc and to offer advice on local amenities.
Truthfully everything you could possibly want. And really within easy walking distance of the main town.
A true gem.
