These are two  traditional style Irish stone cottages that have been renovated and refurbished to afford comfortable, modern living. The lower cottage has three bedrooms with one en-suite bathroom, and sleeps up to nine adults. It also has another separate bathroom.
The upper cottage has two bedrooms, sleeping up to seven adults. Both cottages are otherwise identical, having a large living area,  traditional stone fireplace, flagstone flooring, high open ceilings with wooden beams, comfortable leather upholstered sofa seating and a dining area.

The fully fitted kitchen boasts all the appliances one would expect with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster. The bathroom has a separate electric shower, washbasin and toilet.

The cottages are set in a quiet rural area, where only the sounds of sheep can be heard occasionally. Magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, especially Lough Swilly are visible.
The beach and the town of Buncrana are less than 2km away.

The nearby North Western Golf Club which should please the golfing enthusiast. The village of Fahan with its yacht harbour, The ancient Grianan of Aileach stone ring fort at Burt, The old defensive fort at Dunree, now a museum, with its naval guns, The historical city of Derry, just a 20 minute drive away also has much to offer visitors.

The nearby town of Buncrana features:

There are 3 bedrooms in the lower cottage, one, with a double and a single bed. The 2nd bedroom has 2 double beds, and the 3rd bedroom has 1 double bed.
The upper cottage has 2 bedrooms, with 2 double beds in the 1st bedroom, and 1 double bed and 1single bed in the 2nd bedroom.

There are many appealing features inside the cottages, an obvious one being the cosy living areas with vaulted ceilings which enhances the overall spaciousness.
Bankhead Cottages are located in an established community where people are friendly and always willing to help. The picture-book scenery, visible from both the house and garden area, includes a view across Lough Swilly to the hills of the Fanad Peninsula.
