In the immediate vicinity of the bungalow is a filling station with shop, including take-away options and the Harbour Inn, which serves food all day. This is literally a one minute walk away. Also the Inishowen Gateway Hotel is a 5 minute walk, with a Sea-grass and Wellness centre & swimming pool.
The bungalow is situated 1 km from Buncrana’s main street. Buncrana is a seaside town, with a large shore front including a modern children’s play-park and numerous scenic walks.
There are plenty of amenities in the town, the house looks out on the 2 Buncrana golf clubs, the 18 hole NW golf club and the 9 hole Buncrana golf club. Other amenities include a cinema, a children’s indoor play area, Leisure centre with swimming pool and gym, and salmon and trout fishing on the Crana River. Quad biking facilities are also available 3 km outside the town.
There are many Restaurants in the town to suit all tastes, as well as takeaways. There are two hotels, numerous pubs and 2 nightclubs.
Buncrana Town has three banks, four supermarkets and numerous other shops.
In the summer months, a ferry service operates from the pier, and crosses the Swilly to Rathmullan, and allows visitors to explore west Donegal.
