The shops, pubs and restaurants of Bunbeg are only a 10 min walk away. Stroll up to the nearby Ostan Gweedore which specialises in seafood fresh from the Atlantic Ocean - the hotel's Sundowner Wine & Tapas Bar is an experience in itself.
Glenveigh National Park consists of over 16,000 acres of Mountains, Lakes, Glens and Woods, and is famous for its fine herd of Red Deer. The Central feature is the 19th Century Castle surounded by the famous Glenveigh Gardens.
There is plenty to do at the Lakeside Centre for young and old alike. Facilities include Restaurant, Tea-room, Craft Shop, Horse Riding, Adventure Play areas, Pets & Animals, Storytelling Boat Trips on Dunlewey Lake, Guided Tours and Weaving Demonstrations. Also offers traditional music sessions in July & August.
The Ferry service to Tory Island is available from Bunbeg and Magheraroarty several times a day - weather permitting - and is a must for those who appreciate art. There is a school of painters led by the 'King of Tory', Patsy Dan Rogers and exibits can be seen at the Community Hall.
Also available from Bunbeg Harbour - The Gola Island Ferry which will take you on a journey through the islands. You can explore Gola Island which is uninhabited, walk deserted beaches, take in the beautiful scenery......and relax
There is a wealth of scenic and unspoilt walking trails all over Gweedore. From bracing walks along the hilltops to a leisurely stroll on any one of a number of sheltered sandy beaches.
Gweedore Golf Course (9 hole) is less than a 5 minute drive from the Beach House. There are several other Golf courses nearby - Dunfanaghy (18 hole) Cloughaneely (9 hole) & Cruit Island (9 hole).
Fishing is available locally for Salmon, Trout, Brown Trout & Sea Trout.
Donegal Airport is only a 20 minute car journey from the Beach House. Direct flights available to/from Dublin & Glasgow Prestwick. Car Hire is also available at the Airport.
The fully fitted modern kitchen is located to the side of the cabin and has double doors leading directly to the main living area. It features a vaulted, solid wood ceiling with recessed halogen spots and patio doors to the surrounding deck area.
The main living area is located to the front and has superb views over the nearby beach and headlands. Patio doors lead to an exterior wood deck area, perfect for al fresco dining and appreciating the spectacular sunsets over the west Donegal coastline. For your entertainment the room is equipped with a large flatscreen lcd tv incorporating Sky and dvd.
The beach house has 4 spacious, ground floor bedrooms and can accommodate up to 8 people. The main ensuite bedroom has lovely views over the beach.
The shower room of the Beach House is located next to the 4 ground floor bedrooms. In addition, the main double bedroom is ensuite.

This site is a dream to use; it has everything in place in a way that is easy to find.
