Brenter Cottage - Dunkineely

Brenter Cottage is situated in a peaceful rural location and offers wonderful views of the unspoilt countryside near Dunkineely in South Donegal. It is about 1 km from the village of Dunkineely, 3 km from the seaside village of Inver and 15 km from historic Donegal Town. It is an ideal base to tour the magnificent scenery of South West Donegal. The cottage is also within an hours drive of Sligo, Enniskillen, Letterkenny and Glenveigh National Park.

Local Activities

Activities in the wider locality surrounding the holiday home include an equestrian centre in nearby Bruckless featuring both indoor and outdoor arenas. For the marine enthusiast there is sea angling charters (including tuna charters), scuba diving, and marine sightseeing tours – these are based in Killybegs, Donegal Town and Teelin.

For the golfer the holiday home is centrally situated for playing the great links courses of south Donegal including the Donegal Golf Club at Murvagh, Narin & Portnoo and Bundoran. Those who simply want to enjoy the natural beauty of this part of Ireland will be spoilt for choice - from the windswept St. John’s peninsula to the spectacular sea cliffs at Slieve League and from the majestic Blue Stack Mountains to the beautiful beaches at Inver, Fintra, Narin  and Rossnowlagh. Lovers of good food will not be disappointed either - there are a number of excellent restaurants throughout the locality including the award winning Castle Murray House Hotel just outside Dunkineely. Within 45 minutes drive you also have the wonderful ‘Yeats Country’ in Sligo and the majestic Fermanagh Lakelands.

• Donegal Town  (15km) is  of great historical interest and has numerous tourist attractions. Donegal Castle stands beside The Diamond, overlooking the River Eske. Guided historical tours of Donegal Town take place on a daily basis during the summer and the Waterbus takes you around Donegal Bay. The ruins of Donegal Abbey, situated on the bay, are open to the public.
• Go trekking from Deane's Equestrian Centre in nearby Bruckless .This centre also features both indoor and outdoor  riding arenas
• Golf - superb 18 hole links championship courses are located at Murvagh, near Donegal Town and  at Bundoran
• Cycling South West Donegal abounds with small, winding roads which offer spectacular views around every corner and are ideal for cycling.
• Visit numerous historical sites in the area including the ruins of McSwyne's Castle and the famous Killaghtee Cross.
• Try Sea fishing off the rocks at St. John's Point. Mackerel and Pollock and are plentiful in high season.
• Waterworld in Bundoran - one of Ireland's leading Indoor Aqua Adventure Playground is located on the seafront in Bundoran

The holiday home features a superb modern kitchen with dining area. The large fitted kitchen features modern conveniences including electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and a large American style fridge/freezer with ice maker and water dispenser. The dining area features a stylish table and 6 elegant chairs. Double doors lead into one of the two living rooms in the holiday home

  Living Room

The holiday home has two separate living rooms - both with very different styles. The brightly decorated living room  to the front of the house features  an open fireplace, stylish furniture suite and a 46 inch flat screen tv.

The second living room is adjacent to the kitchen and dining area. This more traditional style room has a comfortable leather suite, solid fuel stove and tv with dvd player.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
