Carpenters Cottage is a 3 bedroom holiday home located in the heart of the popular beach and golf resort of Ballyliffin. Ballyliffin is located on the route of the Wild Atlantic Way on the north-west coastline of the ruggedly beautiful Inishowen Peninsula.
From the front door of the holiday home, it is less than 1.5km to the wonderful Pollan Strand and just over 2km to the Clubhouse of the superb Ballyliffin Golf Club. The 3 main local hotels in the village - The Strand, The Ballyliffin Lodge and the Ballyliffin Hotel – are within easy walking distance. The quaint Nancys Barn Coffee Shop is just across the road from the holiday home.
Pollan Strand is a popular beach and is suitable for all ages with a fine children’s play area nestled in the sand dunes at the beach entrance. The long stretch of sandy beach looks out onto the dramatic Glashedy Island and is a great location for all types of water activities, particularly windsurfing. There is a lovely beach walk that hugs the edge of the Ballyliffin Golf course and takes you to the ruins of Carrickabraghey Castle on the Isle of Doagh. Binion Hill is also a designated walk that is accessible from Pollan Bay and is recommended for nature lovers and hill walkers.
The holiday home is a great base for the keen golfer. Nearby Ballyliffin Golf Club has two top class championship links courses - The Old Course and the Glashedy Links. The courses offer contrasting challenges of the very highest quality.
Another major attraction in the locality is the Famine Village on the Isle of Doagh. The Famine Village offers a large selection of life size attractions portraying life in Ireland from the 1840s until the present day. The whole attraction is built around and includes original thatched dwellings which were still inhabited up until 1983 by the owners family. In December each year, the centre is dramatically converted into a Winter Wonderland for the Christmas season.
The holiday cottage lies along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way which hugs the coastline of the Inishowen Peninsula. The visitor can use this route to explore this ruggedly beautiful Peninsula. Banbas Crown at Malin Head is Irelands most northerly point and is one of 3 Signature points on the Wild Atlantic Way in Donegal.
The holiday home has a spacious and bright living room with dining area. A muti-fuel stove provides a warm focal point for the living space. For home entertainment, there is a tv and DVD player. The tiled dining area has a table and 6 chairs.
The holiday home kitchen has free standing appliances surrounded by plenty of kitchen storage cabinets. Appliances available include electric cooker and hobs, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. The large kitchen sink window overlooks the shrub garden.

This site is a dream to use; it has everything in place in a way that is easy to find. All the information I want is easily accessible and having numerous photos really gives you a good idea of the property. Looked at other sites and after a couple of minutes gave up. Your site has been very well thought through.
