Maggie's Cottage - Rathmullan

This luxury cottage is located along the popular Kinnegar Road area of Rathmullan and is within easy walking distance of the beach, the village, Fort Royal and Rathmullan House hotels. The cottage features a large glazed area to the front which fills the interior with light and creates a wonderful sense of space.

The interior of Maggie's Cottage is wonderfully spacious and bright with the accent on quality furnishings and decor. A special feature is the large enclosed rear garden with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Patio doors lead from the lounge and ground floor bedroom to this area.

Otway Golf Club, reputedly the second oldest in Ireland, is only a 5 minute drive away. Other activities in the area include boat charter for pleasure and fishing trips at Rathmullan pier, pony trekking at the nearby Golden Sands Equestrian Centre, and hillwalking on the little country roads surrounding the cottage.

Local Activities and Attractions

A new car ferry service, operating during summer months, connects the village with Buncrana on the other side of Lough Swilly. Buncrana has a leisure centre with swimming pool and a fantastic kid's outdoor play area.

Letterkenny, County Donegal’s main town, is 20 minutes by car and has a 5 screen cinema, public swimming pool, urban park, an Grianan Theatre and of course, a wide variety of shops.

Clearwaters No. 18 holiday home features this spacious lounge with open fireplace and patio doors. These doors lead out to a large enclosed rear lawn - ideal for children to play in or for having a barbecue on a summer evening. The house is furnished to the highest standards and is fully equipped for your comfort and convenience.

The cottage has a master ensuite bedroom on the ground floor. This bedroom also features patio doors leading to the rear garden. The cottage can accommodate up to 7 people in comfort and has a ground floor bathroom specially adapted for wheelchair users.

To the rear of the cottage is a large enclosed rear garden complete with patio area. Interestingly, the old stone wall belonging to the farm that once occupied the site has been maintained as a boundary.
