This 100 year old 4 bedroom stone farmhouse is located on a secluded 14 acre site approached by a quiet tree lined lane. The house is located 3 miles outside Dungloe town. The beach and nearest village are approx. two miles away. Many of the original features and furniture are still in place giving house a unique charm. There is an open fireplace in the living room, a range in the kitchen and central heating throughout. Cleendra is an idyllic base for a magical holiday.

The house is a two storey stone house which is over 100 years old. The character of the house has been maintained while upgrading the accommodation by adding dry lining, central heating and modern appliances. The immediate vicinity of the house is very tranquil as it is encircled by its own grounds. It has a timeless quality where it is a pleasure to relax for a short break.

Cleendra is surrounded by mature trees and its own land with no immediate neighbours in view. The grounds are 14 acres of natural landscape. There are a lot of mature trees which is unusual in the area and gives great shelter. The habitat is home to many rabbits and deer which you can spot if you’re lucky! There are numerous blackberry bushes and some small apple trees. Generally the land is peaty with long grass and heather between rocky areas.

The nearest beach is a few miles down the road in a village called Maghery. The beach is large and sandy with parking, a community centre and a pub nearby. The road between the house and Maghery is part of a beautiful scenic walking route which is an 8-9 mile circuit and has stunning views along the sea.

Dungloe is a large town about 3-4 miles away. There are 3 supermarkets here, a market is held on the main street on Thursdays and there are many other shops such as hardware, pharmacies etc. The town is particularly busy at the end of July and beginning of August during the Mary from Dungloe festival.

Golf Course: Cruit Island Golf Club approx. 10 miles
Distance details: approx. 5km to Dungloe Town, the capital of the Rosses , indoor swimming pool open to public in Ostan hotel in Dungloe. Ferry to Aranmore Island from nearby Burtonport. Carrickfinn airport with flights from Scotland and Dublin about 30 min. drive.
