Cois na Tra is a luxurious modern holiday home situated  opposite the 9th hole of Greencastle Golf Club on the outskirts of the picturesque Greencastle village. The holiday home enjoys lovely views over Lough Foyle towards the northwest Derry coastline.

A Luxury Holiday Home on the Inishowen Peninsula

This recently built holiday home is finished to a very high standard. It has top class accommodation for up to 9 people. There are 5 roomy bedrooms - 2 of which are ensuite. It has a number of different living spaces including the main living room, a sunroom and a games room with a selection of games.  There is a large well kept lawn to front of the holiday home as well as paved and floodlit patios to front and rear.

Greencastle Golf Club

Just across the road from the holiday home is scenic and friendly Greencastle Golf Club. This fine 18 hole links course has an idyllic setting. On one side it is bordered by Lough Foyle with panoramic views over this majestic lough towards Magilligan Strand and the mountains of North Derry. On the other side there are equally spectacular views towards the Inishowen hills.

Also across the road from the holiday home is the Shore Walk which goes into the centre of Greencastle village. Greencastle is a popular seaside resort with a busy fishing harbour. At the harbour is the Inishowen Maritime Museum and Planetarium. Kealys Seafood Bar is also located in the harbour area. This is a nationally renowned seafood restaurant. The Cairn Centre in the village brings Irish Heritage to life through lighting, voice overs, photographs, life size figures and miniature diagrams of the Irish countryside. It covers the period from the very first farmer in Ireland to the recent past.

Local Attractions and Amenities

• Play a round of golf at the scenic 18 hole Greencastle Golf Club – just across the road from the holiday home. The superb Ballyliffin Golf club is 30km west of the holiday home.
• Use the Greencastle to Magilligan Ferry to explore the northern coast of Northern Ireland . The Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Dunluce Castle are just some of the top attractions in this area.
• Take a trip to some of the many fine beaches in the locality. In addition to the nearby blue flag Stroove Beach there are fine beaches at Kinnegoe Bay, Culdaff and Five Finger Strand near Malin. The quaint Sweet Nellies beach is just a 10 minute walk from the holiday home.
• Try kayaking at the Just Kayak adventure centre based in nearby Moville. This centre offers inland and sea level kayak training as well as tours by canoe and kayak
• Go sea angling from Culdaff. The Inishowen Boating Company operates 2 purpose built fast charter boats from Bunagee Pier Culdaff  (22km). These fully licensed vessels offer sea angling and sightseeing on Lough Foyle.
• Visit the newly renovated Isle of Doagh Famine Village near Ballyliffin. This wonderful attraction depicts life in Donegal at different stages throughout history in an informative and enjoyable tour
• Other major attractions in the locality are Malin Head, the Gap of Mamore, Dunree Military Museum and Derry City (32km) – UK City of Culture 2013

Cois na Tra is an ideal holiday base for the keen golfer, for the beach and watersports enthusiast and for the visitor who enjoys touring the dramatic scenery of the Inishowen Peninsula. It is ideally located being within walking distance to the village and a number of sandy beaches.

The bright and comfortably furnished main living room has an open fireplace with back boiler. The room has a 42" flat screen Sony Bravia TV, Sony cinema system with surround sound. There is a selection of books and DVDs available.

  Sunroom

The tastefully furnished sunroom enjoys panoramic views of Lough Foyle. A multi fuel stove provides a warm focal point - wood and turf is supplied

  Games room

The games room provides a third living space in this luxury holiday home. It has a 32 inch flatscreen TV which can also be used for playing Wii, X-box, play stations etc. (games consoles are not supplied), bean bags, deck chairs a 10 in one games table which converts for football, pool, table tennis, ice hockey, bowling, checkers, backgammon chess etc.

  Kitchen

The holiday home has a solid oak painted kitchen with granite worktops, classic gas-electric range, dishwasher, american fridge freezer with ice and water dispenser and a  radio CD player

A separate utility room has high and low level units which house an additional fridge, a washing machine and tumble drier.

  Dining Area

The kitchen dining area features an extendable table and 8 oak-leather chairs.

There is also an outdoor table and 8 chairs. There is paved patios to front and rear of the holiday home and a large well kept lawns to front.

The holiday home has top class accommodation for up to 9 people;-
