Cragnaferry - Greencastle

Sea ViewsOpen FireCot & Highchair

This spacious modern holiday home is located on an  elevated site with views encompassing Greencastle village, Lough Foyle and the northern coastline of County Derry. To one side there is a pretty rockery with a landscaped patio area - perfect for enjoying the panoramic vista.

Cragnaferry has an extensive lawn area which makes it ideal for children. A unique feature of the interior is a replica Irish Pub (un-stocked, of course). The wonderful views can be enjoyed from most rooms in the house - the main bedroom has a glass wall and patio doors.

It's only a short walk to the fishing village of Greencastle and Kealy's Seafood Bar. At the harbour you can take the car ferry to Magilligan Point and onwards to explore such features as the Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Distillery.

Greencastle is a commercial fishing port and has the National Fisheries College located to the northern end of the village. It has a picturesque harbour area, and there is a ferry service crossing the Foyle on a regular basis to Magilligan Point in County Derry - convenient for car trips to the Giants Causeway, Bushmills, Dunluce Castle, and other attractions along the Antrim Coast in Northern Ireland. There is a golf course in Greencastle and another at nearby Redcastle - the renowned Ballyliffin Links Course is 20mins drive away.

What they say

We have had a wonderful time it was so good of you to let us stay on untill monday.  Two birthdays have been celebrated.  The weather has been glorious with only one storm.  The locals yet again are a fine example of friendness and courtesty. A great way to enjoy our third year in Donegal.

Many thanks again.  We really enjoyed our 3rd Stay.  Re-visiting our favourite places and trying out the kayarking in Moville for the first time.  A great birthday treat.
