Croft cottage, located on the north shore of Loughros Point, looks over the bay to Rosbeg beach, Portnoo, Arranmore Island and eastwards to Mt. Errigal and the Bluestack Mountains. The cottage is also within earshot of the Owenea river - noted for salmon and sea-trout fishing.

Driving out the cul de sac to the cottage, the huge expanse of Maghera Strand stretches from Eas a Ranca waterfall to the impressive sea caves and beyond to Slievetooey.

Ardara

Ardara is situated close to the small River Owentocher. This heritage town is a major centre for the manufacture of hand-woven tweed with several shops along the main street selling tweeds and hand-knitted sweaters. While in the town pay a visit to The Ardara Heritage Centre - which houses an exhibition relating the history of Donegal Tweed. The pubs of Ardara are welcoming and friendly - the visitor can experience a rich mix of traditional music.

The kitchen area features a cast iron stove. It opens out  onto a private south facing patio with a delightful gated garden with summer seats and BBQ.The kitchen  benefits from a velux window allowing in lots of natural sunlight.The kitchen enjoys views over Loughros More bay.In addition to dining table and chairs,there are comfortable easy chairs

The living room is also bright and spacious with 2 south facing velux lights and has a turf burning inglenook fireplace. The window to the front looks towards Tramore beach at Rosbeg.It has comfortable seating and dining table and chairs

  Bedrooms

The cottage has 2  bedrooms. Bedroom No. 1 has a double bed and Bedroom No. 2 has a double and single bed.En suite to Bedroom No.1 are toilet ,whb and electric shower.

Also off Bedroom no. 1 is a small sauna

Booking Details

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.

• check in 4pm, check out 11am

• rental is by arrangement off-season

• 6 monthly/yearly rental considered
