Curlew Cottage is a four bedroom luxury cottage
close to Ards Friary and overlooking Sheephaven Bay and
Muckish Mountain. The 4 bed room property is finished to a very high
standard and has a large lounge, dining room and a
west facing conservatory. There is oil-fired central
heating, a wood-burning stove and an outdoor patio area with loads of
car parking space. The cottage is set in a
large secure garden and is set well back from the road in a
secluded, private setting close to Ards Forest Park.
The cottage is well placed for exploring the
local area. There are many restaurants and pubs within a 10 mile radius;
these include the Shandon Hotel with
its fabulous new Health Spa and pool
and many restaurants and pubs in
Dunfanaghy, Carrigart and
Downings. There is something for
everyone in this magical part of Donegal.

Dining Room:
The large, south-facing dining room has an oak floor. It overlooks the
sea and mountains and comprises a dining table which can accommodate
eight in comfort and a large pine dresser and sofa. There is a good
supply of books and board games to keep everyone entertained. Double
doors lead to the Conservatory.
Conservatory:
The west facing conservatory has panoramic views
over the surrounding countryside. Double doors lead to the patio and
outdoor barbecue area.

Close to Curlew Cottage:
Curlew Cottage is the perfect retreat for a peaceful and tranquil
holiday. The countryside around the cottage is ideal for cyclists and
walkers. There is something for everyone in this unspoilt part of
Donegal.
Glenveagh National Park (including
Glenveagh Castle and Formal Gardens) is home to red deer and birds of
prey and is one of Ireland’s national treasures and a must-see for all
visitors to Donegal is only 25 minutes drive from Creeslough.
Tory Island made famous by Derek
Hill for its primitive painters and wild rugged scenery is an
unforgettable day trip. Take the ferry from Magherarorty or Bunbeg: a 40
minute drive from Creeslough.
Ards Forest Park is only a 5 minute
drive from the cottage: It has great forest walks, fabulous beaches and
a picnic site and adventure playground for the children.
Fly fishing is on offer in
Creeslough 3 miles from the cottage and for the more adventurous there
is sea angling from the nearby port of Downings 15 miles away.
There are several first class golf courses
within a 10 mile radius. Rossapena has two superb 18 hole championship
courses including the brand new Sandy Hills Course. There is also an
excellent 18 hole course in Dunfanaghy.
The local area provides excellent hill-walking
for every level of hill-walker and horse riding is available in the
nearby towns of Dunfanaghy and Carrigart.
The famous Glen Bar and Restaurant
