Drumaville is a superb, large, luxury four bedroom holiday home that can sleep eleven. It is named after the town-land in which is situated. The house is a west facing double storey dwelling located on a large three quarter acre property. On entering, there is a vestibule, with an inner door leading to the main entrance hall from which one can access the rest of the house. To the right, the lounge; leading to the rear dining area and kitchen. To the left, another lounge, which serves as a children's play area. Ahead lies the staircase and a door leading to a rear entrance room connecting to a back door, the kitchen, a utility room, and a separate toilet. Upstairs, we find the landing, two front bedrooms, two rear bedrooms, the main bathroom and an en-suite.The home is fully insulated, double glazed, and has oil fired central heating. There are two open fireplaces, four TV's with integrated DVD's, and bed linen, towels, electricity & central heating are all included. Outside; the area surrounding the house, and the driveway, all the way down to the front gate is paved; allowing ample parking, with cars being able to drive right around the house. This paved area can also serve as an extended patio for outdoor entertaining in good weather, when there are large parties of people. On the north east side of the house, there is an elevated deck with fenced sides, which includes a gas barbeque, table, chairs and a unique 'spa hot tub'. (see owners gallery.) On the south side opposite the side door is a pergola feature, which should look good in years to come when plants are covering the framework. The property itself is surrounded by a forest of conifer trees, (see bottom picture) and it is a secluded, quiet and peaceful location; - perfect for 'getting away from it all'! Located on a side road off the R242, the house is just 1.8km to the village green in Malin, or 4.4km to the centre of Carndonagh. It lies close to the eastern banks of Trawbreaga Bay. The nearest sandy beaches are equidistant: - the Five Finger Strand, 8km west; a beautiful scenic area for walks and watching the Atlantic waves crashing on the shore; or Culdaff Beach, 8km east: Here you will find a Blue Flag status beach with a safe children's play area near the car park, and a picturesque fishing harbour at Bunagee Pier at its west end; a favourite spot for anglers to cast a line.
Horse riding in the area is well catered for; with two stables located
near Malin. The 'Malin Stables' can be found a little before crossing
the bridge into Malin Town, just on a mile away.
The 'Rose Cottage Stables' are a little further, on the west side of
Malin, along the Lagg road (R242) towards the Five Finger Strand. Watersports: Angling, swimming, sub-aqua diving, (there is a club in Malin), surfing, sailing. |
