This recently refurbished modern cottage is available for rent all year round on a Saturday to Saturday basis. Located in a quiet rural area, this charming cottage has stunning sea views over the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will find the ideal retreat for writers, readers, painters, photographers, hikers and anyone seeking a special place to relax - (weekends are available during off peak season)

Our visitors are within a 3 minute walk of golden sandy beaches, one a Blue Flag beach (Carrickfinn). Many hours can be spent walking, swimming, or exploring the craggy coastline, also popular with swimmers and surfers. Part of the Carrickfinn Peninsula has been designated a Special Area of Conservation and also a Natural Heritage area..

Other attractions in the area include river, lake and deep-sea fishing, cultural and leisure facilities, friendly pubs - while in the area pay a visit to the nearby Leo's Tavern - home of Enya and Clannad.

There is an abundance of activities here for the outdoor type: the ancient ruins of St. Crone's Church at Tearmon, the fishing villages of Burtonport and Bunbeg, a boat trip to Aranmore or Tory Islands, Glenveagh National Park among the Derryveagh Mountains, fishing (salmon, brown trout and sea trout) in the various rivers and lakes of the Rosses. The golf enthusiast also has a choice of courses in the area, including Gweedore (10km) Cruit (10km) and Portnoo (25km) as well as pitch and putt and tennis in Dungloe.

Kincasslagh village, famed for its link with the singer Daniel O'Donnell, is 3 miles away. A shop and 2 relaxed pubs are available in the local village of Mullaghduff, a 15 minute walk away.

Donegal Airport is only 0.3km from the cottage. Flights to and from Dublin are on a daily schedule with a less frequent service to Glasgow-Prestwick. car rental companies operate at the airport.
