This luxury property is situated 5 mins drive from Dunfanaghy village with all its quirky little craft shops and cafes. The rugged headland of Horn Head (only 10 mins drive away) is one of the most spectacular in Ireland.
Port na Blagh is situated in North Donegal Ireland, and is nestled around the Ards Forest Park and Dunfanaghy. The small coastal village occupies a stunning location with beach, pier and views of the surrounding area that can only be described as breathtaking.
The pace of life here in Donegal is very relaxed and friendly, you choose the pace of your vacation but remember hopefully not too fast. Port na Blagh is an ideal place to escape the pressures of work and hectic life styles of city life, also a peaceful place just to unwind and makes an ideal base for your daily excursions to the many stunning places to visit and discover. Above all, it's a place to relax for a short or longer breaks.
Dunfanaghy Golf Club is an 18 hole true links it is easily walked, but a superb golfing challenge, with spectacular views of beaches, headlands, harbours and mountains. The greens are consistently rated with the best in the country, and the course, sand-based and free-draining, is playable all year round.
The beautiful Sessiah Lake is close-by - you can fish or just take a casual afternoon or evening stroll. Also Ards Forest Park for the walking enthusiast is just 10 mins drive away and Dunlewy Outdoor Activity Centre is just a 20 mins drive - wonderful place for a short boat trip on the lake by day or enjoy a great night of traditional music during July and August.
Fishing is a popular sport in Donegal many types of fish can be caught around the coast including big pollock, codling, conger, and tough fighting wrasse! mackerel , also wreck fishing, shark fishing, blue Fin Tuna Fishing. Fishing off the Port na Blagh pier is free and in the area many boats can be chartered or hired from local fishermen
Glenveagh National Park Some 16,540 hectares (40,873 acres) of mountains, lakes, glens and woods, with a herd of red deer. A Scottish style castle is surrounded by one of the finest gardens in Ireland, which contrast with the rugged surroundings. Visitor Centre with displays explaining the Park along with an audio-visual show. Hot and cold meals and snacks are available in the restaurant. Lock-up facilities for bicycles and baggage are available. Visitor Centre is accessible for visitors with disabilities
