Flossie's Cottage is a very comfortable holiday home located in the village of Mountcharles in South Donegal. The cottage is set in mature grounds and its wonderful elevated site provides it with superb uninterrupted views over woodlands towards Donegal Bay.

A 5 minute walk brings you into the centre of Mountcharles. This lovely village has a number of fine pubs and restaurants - including the award winning Village Tavern. A 10 minute walk from the cottage will bring you down to the shores of Donegal Bay.

Nearby Donegal Town  (5 km ) is  of great historical interest and has numerous tourist attractions. Donegal Castle stands beside The Diamond, overlooking the River Eske. Guided historical tours of Donegal Town take place on a daily basis during the summer and the Waterbus takes you around Donegal Bay. The ruins of Donegal Abbey, situated on the bay, are open to the public. Donegal Town also has several first class hotels and restaurants. There is entertainment each night in the local pubs with music to suit all tastes.

Activities in the general locality include an equestrian centre at nearby Bruckless featuring both indoor and outdoor arenas. For the marine enthusiast there is sea angling charters (including tuna charters), scuba diving, and marine sightseeing tours – these are based in Donegal Town, Killybegs and Teelin. Sea fishing may be enjoyed at Mountcharles Pier or off the rocks at St.John's Point. Mackerel and Pollock  are plentiful in high season.

For the golfer the apartment is ideally situated for playing the great links courses of south Donegal including the Donegal Golf Club at  Murvagh, Narin & Portnoo and Bundoran. Those who simply want to enjoy the natural beauty of this part of Ireland will be spoilt for choice -  from the windswept St. John’s peninsula  to the spectacular sea cliffs at Slieve League and from the majestic Blue Stack Mountains to the beautiful beaches at Fintra, Narin and Rossnowlagh.

Lovers of good food will not be disappointed either - there are a number of excellent restaurants throughout the locality.
