Forest Park View is a modern 5 bedroom holiday home located on an elevated site 1km outside the village of Creeslough - just off the main Creeslough to Dunfanaghy road. Nestled into a small hillside the holiday home enjoys lovely views towards the majestic Ards Forest Park
The holiday home has 5 bedrooms - 3 of which are ensuite. It can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably. From the front door it is just 1/2 km to the entrance to Ards Fores Park. This wonderful park covers approximately 1200 acres and includes sand dunes, beaches, salt marshes, salt water lakes, rock face and, of course, mature coniferous and deciduous woodlands. There are a large number of trails in this park giving the walker the opportunity to explore its varied habitats. By “stitching together” a number of trails, it is possible to hike for 5/6 hours on forest tracks and trails, taking in the full circuit of the park. The opportunities are endless.
The nearby village of Cresslough is located close to the shores of Sheephaven Bay and is surrounded by spectacular coastal and mountain scenery. Mountain climbing and hill walking are popular in this rugged landscape with Muckish, Errigal and the Derryveagh mountains all easily reachable. The Irish word Creeslough means "The Belt of Lakes" - a reference to the many small lakes that surround the village. Some of these lakes are excellent for fishing.
Cresslough is centrally located among the main holiday resorts on the North Donegal coastline – Portnablagh, Dunfanaghy, Downings and Carrigart. Windsurfing, water-skiing, scuba diving, canoeing and sailing are all available in this region. There are also a number of magnificent beaches located within a short driving distance of the holiday home including Ards, Marble Hill, Tramore and Killahoey.
For the golf enthusiast there are three 18 hole courses in the vicinity - one in Dunfanaghy and two at Rosapenna near Downings. In Creeslough itself there is a 9 hole par 3 golf course. Horse-riding, cycling, hill walking and painting are ever popular in this beautiful part of Ireland. A herd of native red deer roams the mountains and valleys in the nearby 10,000 hectare Glenveagh National Park, famed for its castle, lakes, formal gardens, exotic plants and rare birds - including the recently reintroduced golden eagle. In the more immediate locality of the holiday home you will find the famous Lackagh Bridge, historic Doe Castle and the Owencarron Viaduct
The living area is to the front of the house and enjoys views towards Ards Forest Park. It features a wooden floor, comfortable furniture suite and a television
The kitchen and dining area has a tiled floor. Appliances in the modern kitchen include electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge freezer. The dining area has an oval shaped table and 6 wooden chairs. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in an adjacent utility area.
