The Fort Apartments is a newly built development completed in 2008 and stands right on the waters edge at Greencastle on the Inishowen Peninsula. Comprising of 3 double bedrooms (master en-suite), a large bathroom with twin basins and with open plan living room, kitchen / dining, this is the ultimate in luxury accommodation. 

The apartment is situated on the first floor.  The double patio doors lead onto a south facing balcony which allows occupants the privilege of summer sunshine, extending into the early evening.  The Apartment is almost 1500 sq ft and has gas central heating along with all other modern finishes and appliances. The ceiling to floor windows in both the lounge and master bedroom offers a world of wildlife and seabirds on your doorstep along with an interesting array of fishing boats heading in and out to harbour.

Surrounding Area

There is ample car parking space to the rear of the property. Direct access to the Greencastle shore walk is serviced by remote locked gates enabling you quick access to the shorefront and an enjoyable stroll into the village of Greencastle itself.

The Fort Apartments have been built within the surroundings of the Napoleonic 14th Century Fort and enjoy some of the best views available in Greencastle. The street is very quiet and private with street lighting throughout the area making it safe for kids to play in the evening. The Fort is only a few minutes walk from the village centre where there are two traditional bars; a chip shop takeaway and a renowned fish restaurant Kealeys.

With the Foyle car ferry just 2 minutes away and itself only a 10 minute trip accross to the County Antrim coast, Greencastle is the perfect base to not only explore Donegal but also the renouned beauty of the North Antrim coast.  So why not consider hang-gliding of the cliffs at Downhill, windsurfing at the White Rocks or just take in a days golfing at the famous Portstewart or Portrush courses. There again if you don’t feel that energetic you can always take a stroll around the world famous Bushmills Distillery, The Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle or Carrick-a-rede rope bridge.

Local Activities and Attractions

The 18 hole Greencastle golf course is also within easy access via the shore front walk otherwise about 2 minutes drive by car. The nearby town of Moville is just 5km away and has an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars which can cater for you during your stay in the area. Greencastle is also services with a car passenger ferry which makes it very accessible to get to from parts of the Antrim coast.

Beach: There is a small beach/stone area in front of the property however Shrove beach is accessed by car (5mins)
Golf Course: Greencastle golf course is immediately next door and takes only minutes to walk out on to
