Frewin Cottage is a luxury holiday home located on the grounds of a beautiful Victorian manor house on the outskirts of the historic village of Ramelton in North Donegal. The cottage has been built in a unique style that combines the ease of modern living with the charm of a bygone age.

The mature gardens and woodland surrounding the cottage provide it with a very tranquil setting -  yet a 10 minute walk from the holiday home will bring you into centre of Ramelton.

The village of Ramelton itself is steeped in history and heritage. It has managed to retain much of its old world charm and character through preserving many of the wonderful historical Georgian buildings that give the village a distinctive identity in this part of Ireland. The village is not only blessed with wonderful architecture, but also with a beautiful location on the banks of the River Lennon.

Within this beautiful architectural setting there is a vibrant village with many facilities for you to enjoy during your visit. The recently renovated Town Hall is the venue for a variety of entertainment including concerts and stage plays. The weekly Country Market is renowned for fresh vegetables, home baking and local handcrafted gifts. The village has many quaint pubs - the Bridge Bar is a highly regarded music venue while Conway's Pub enables the visitor to take a step back in time. Located along the beautiful quay is the building that houses the Ramelton Heritage Centre and Donegal Ancestry - the latter enabling you to trace your Donegal ancestors

The holiday cottage is an ideal base to explore a number of Irelands most beautiful peninsulas – Fanad, Rosguill and Inishowen. The Fanad Peninsula has the spectacular Knockalla Coast Road and the superb blue flag beach at Portsalon. The Rosguill Peninsula is the location of the renowned Atlantic Drive and the magnificent Rosapenna Golf Links near Downings. The car ferry in Rathmullan provides a very pleasant gateway to the Inishowen Peninsula – one of Irelands most beautiful and unspoilt regions.

Within an hours drive of the holiday home you will find the majestic Glenveagh National Park, the Dunlewy Lakeside Activity Centre, Ards Forest Park and the ancient walled City of Derry.
