Fuchsia Cottage - Carrigart

Located on an elevated site above the seaside village of Carrigart this wonderful modern holiday home enjoys superb views over the North West Coastline - views that include Muckish Mountain, Ards Forest Park, Horn Head, Sheephaven Bay and Mulroy Bay. These wonderful view can be enjoyed from the conservatory, the wonderful first floor minstrel gallery, the luxurious master bedroom and the ground floor living room (with floor to ceiling windows)

The Locality

The village of Carrigart and the surrounding area is very popular with visitors who return each year to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of this wonderful part of Donegal. The village is surrounded by glorious coastal and mountain scenery. Nearby Rosapenna features 2 championship golf links courses and also the fabulous Tramore Strand. The popular holiday resort of Downings is only 5 km away.

Carrigart is situated on the beautiful Rosguill Peninsula.  The natural landscape of this peninsula  provides the basis for many of the activities that the visitor can enjoy - including windsurfing, deep sea diving, sea angling and boat charters. There is also horse riding and hill walking. The Magherabeg Leisure Centre is located in Downings and features a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and gym

A new bridge spanning Mulroy Bay near Carrigart opened 2009. This has brought the scenic Fanad Peninsula and the wonderful Portsalon Golf Course within easy reach of the holiday home.

The holiday home features an open plan ground floor with stylish kitchen and dining area. The fitted kitchen  features modern conveniences including electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer and microwave – plus all the cutlery, crockery & glassware you would require.

  Living Area

The bright    living area features floor to ceiling windows which offer superb views over the North West Donegal coastline. From the comfort of the luxury leather suite you can just sit and watch this beautiful landscape.  The area is furnished with a  tv, video, dvd player and stereo system. The occasional tables, lamps and colourful wall pictures help create the perfect ambience for relaxation

  Bedrooms

The holiday home has 4 comfortable and bedrooms - all with wood floors. The spacious master bedroom on the first floor has excellent ensuite facilities and a walk-in wardrobe. The room enjoys superb sea views. Also located on the first floor is an ensuite double bedroom. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms - both with 2 single beds. These rooms are adjacent to the bathroom - which features a bath and separate shower.

  Minstrel Gallery

Stairs lead from the open plan ground floor to the 2 ensuite bedrooms upstairs and a lovely minstrel gallery. The minstrel gallery looks below onto the living area and also towards the coastline through 2 large velux windows. (Safety stair gates available for children)

  Conservatory

The beautiful conservatory in the holiday home features a sofa, hard wood floor and television. It enjoys superb panoramic views of the surrounding countryside - from Muckish Mountain to the coastline of the  Rosguill Peninsula.
