George's Cottage
is a superb holiday cottage on the outskirts of the charming
village of Narin in West Donegal . The cottage is
built on the site of a 200 year old cottage and outhouse - the original
style of the buildings and most of the original
walls have been retained . The cottage is named after the
previous owner - George. His hat hangs to the side of the cottage
fireplace.
Accommodation at George's Cottage is designed to provide a very comfortable
home from home experience.
There are 3 en-suite double rooms and two
single rooms.
All are spacious and furnished to a high standard.
The cottage has been built in a style that
tastefully combines modern comforts with old world charm.The superb kitchen
will ensure that your self catering experience will be as stress free as
possible. The flag floor in the kitchen and living room adds real
character to the cottage.
The cottage is located in
the attractive coastal village of Narin. Narin – and its
twin holiday village of Portnoo – is delightfully situated beyond
Kilclooney in the shelter of the hills on the south side of
Gweebarra Bay.
The beautiful beach in Narin is a glorious
stretch of golden sand.
At low tide it is possible to walk or paddle to the
little islet of Inishkeel which lies just off the beach
The coastline near Narin features many small sandy bays, rocky
headlands, and river estuaries. The whole area is ideal for surfing
and scuba diving. There are lovely forest walks in nearby
Clooney Wood.
The cottage is located ½
km from Narin and Portnoo Golf Club.
This club is considered to be one of the
finest links courses in the North West of Ireland. It is certainly one of the most
scenic. Within a half hours drive is the superb Donegal Golf Club at Murvagh.
