Glen Lough Lodge is a  luxurious 3 bedroom holiday home with an absolutely idyllic location near the small village of Glen in  North County Donegal. Situated on a  hillside the cottage enjoys breathtaking panoramic views over Glen Lough towards Muckish Mountain and the Donegal Highlands.
The holiday home has been carefully designed to make maximum use of natural sunlight - and to enable the visitor to enjoy the stunning vistas outside. All 3 bedrooms together with the living area and the sun room enjoy breathtaking  lake and mountain views.

Ideal Touring Base

The holiday home is just 300 metres from the shores of Glen Lough . It is 1km from Glen village, 5 km from Carrigart and just over 6 km to the superb championship golf links at Rosapenna near Downings. With the opening of the new Mulroy Bridge near Carrigart the holiday home is centrally located to explore 3 of the most beautiful peninsulas in Donegal - Fanad, Rosguill and Horn Head. It is also ideally located for the golfer - 3 of the finest links courses in the North West are within a half hours drive - Rosapenna, Dunfanaghy and Portsalon.

Glen Lough

Glen Lough itself is a beautiful tree lined lake with a wonderful mountain background - including the spectacular Muckish Mountain. Salmon and Sea-Trout fishing are available on the Lough  and on the nearby Lackagh River - permits are required and are available locally. The village of  Glen is located at the eastern end of Glen Lough under the shade of Lough Salt Mountain. In the village  the visitor will find the renowned Old Glen Bar. This is a traditional pub/restaurant that serves excellent food.

Scenic Drives

The holiday home is a short distance from the start of the spectacular Lough Salt Drive. The famous Atlantic Drive starts in nearby Downings.

• Golf at nearby Rosapenna Golf Club – featuring two classic 18 hole links course. Other superb courses in the general locality include Dunfanaghy (15 min drive) and Portsalon (25  min drive)

The holiday home has a bright open plan ground floor with with a spacious kitchen and dining area. The modern fitted kitchen features an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer and microwave.  Crockery and cutlery are supplied. For convenience there is also a washing machine available in a separate utility room. The dining area has a table and 6 chairs

  Living Area

The living area in the holiday home enjoys breathtaking panoramic views over Glen Lough towards the Donegal Highlands. The area is comfortable furnished and has an attractive stone fireplace. For home entertainment there is a tv with sky tv and a dvd player.

Booking Details

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
