Glenkeo Cottage - Carrigart

Glenkeo Cottage  is a  homely and comfortable holiday home set in a tranquil rural location just outside the charming  village of Carrigart in North West Donegal. It has a large enclosed garden which is a safe play area for children - and pets.

Accommodation at Glenkeo Cottage is designed to provide a comfortable home from home experience. The house is centrally heated and comprises a fully equipped kitchen with every modern convenience and two separate sitting rooms - one with an  open fire. There are four double bedrooms, one of which has  en-suite facilities. There is also a tastefully furnished conservatory at the side of the house.

Surrounding Area

The cottage is ideally located to tour the wonderful scenery of north Donegal. On your doorstep you have the renowned Atlantic Drive. This is a scenic drive starting in nearby Downings and continuing around the spectacular Rosguill Peninsula. In the locality you also have the spectacular Lough Salt Drive.

The natural terrain of the Rosguil Peninsula and the waters of Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay provide the basis for many of the  activities that the visitor can enjoy.  There are many water based activities in the Carrigart/Downings area - including windsurfing, swimming, sea angling and boat charters. Horse riding and hill walking are popular local activities. There is also an abundance of golden sandy beaches.

A little further afield you have beautiful and varied coastal landscapes in such areas as Bloody Foreland, Horn Head, the Rosses and the Fanad Peninsula. Moving inland you have the majestic and unspoilt Donegal Highlands where the wonderful Glenveagh National Park is located.

The well designed kitchen area will ensure that you self catering experience in Glenkeo Cottage will be as stress free as possible. All modern kitchen appliances are near to hand including microwave, fridge, freezer and electric oven with gas hob. There is also a washing machine for your convenience.
   

  Living Room

The main sitting room in the holiday cottage is located to the front of the house and features an open fireplace, wooden floor and luxury leather suite. The living room to the back of the house has comfortable furniture and a tiled floor. Each room has a TV - there is also a video and dvd player available.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
