Glen Lough Lodge is a superb modern holiday home located 100 metres from the shores of Glen Lough in north Donegal. It is 1km from Glen village, 4 km from Carrigart and just over 5 km to the superb championship golf links at Rosapenna near Downings

The house is finished to a very high standard throughout. With 5 very spacious bedrooms Glen Lough Lodge is ideal for an extended family or two families sharing. It is also an ideal for a group of golfers or fishermen who prefer a more relaxing getaway.

For larger groups a second holiday home is  available nearby (due for completion in late 2008). This holiday home is on an elevated site and enjoys truly breathtaking views of Glen Lough ( see owners photo gallery).

Glen Lough itself is a beautiful tree lined lake with a wonderful mountain background - including the spectacular Muckish Mountain. Salmon and Sea-Trout fishing are available on the Lough  and on the nearby Lackagh River - permits are required and are available locally. The village of  Glen is located at the eastern end of Glen Lough under the shade of Lough Salt Mountain. In the village  the visitor will find the renowned Mary's Pub and Restaurant. This is a traditional pub/restaurant that serves excellent food.

The holiday home is a short distance from the start of the spectacular Lough Salt Drive. The famous Atlantic Drive starts in nearby Downings.

 •Golf at nearby Rosapenna Golf Club – featuring two classic 18 hole links course. Other superb courses in the general locality include Dunfanaghy (15 min drive) and Portsalon (30  min drive)
•Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep –  Tramore Strand, Tra na Rossan, Downings, Melmore

•Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk.
•Enjoy diving in the clear waters of Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay
•Go sea angling from Downings Pier

•Take a trip around the spectacular Lough Salt Drive and the Atlantic Drive
•Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
•Climb Muckish and Errigal. .
