Gort na hUisce is a modern 3 bedroom holiday home located in the coastal village of Rosbeg along Donegals rugged south west coastline.  The holiday home is within easy walking distance of the local pier and beach and is just 5km from Portnoo and 6km from the beach and golf resort of Narin. The  emphasis throughout the holiday home is on space and light. There are stunning sea views over Slieve Tooey, Tormore Head and Inishbarnog Island to Dawros Head. There are 3 bedrooms to sleep 7 / 8 comfortably. The gardens to the front and rear of the holiday home also have sea views

A Coastal Settting on Donegals Wild Atlantic Way

Rosbeg  itself is a very picturesque coastal village -  in effect it is a collection of houses fronted by sandy coves which are in turn sheltered by jagged rock formations. It has a small pier with slipway which is ideal for launching small boats. Swimming, fishing, sea kayaking and sailing are popular local activities.

The local pub - Joe's Seafood Bar -  is a Donegal Good Food Tavern and has been voted as one of the pubs in Ireland with the best sea views.

Sheskinmore Nature Reserve lies just to the east of Rosbeg. The reserve is a large area of sand dunes, lake and marsh that lies between Kiltooris and Ballinreavy Strand. It is regarded as one of the most important Nature Reserves in Ireland and has been designated as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC), a Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Wildfowl Sanctuary. Sheskinmore is open to the public all year round, and offers families & nature enthusiasts many of the wonders of nature unique to Ireland.

The Rosbeg-Portnoo Sailing and Watersports Club use the sheltered waters between Portnoo Pier and Iniskeel Island to encourage and promote watersports in the area. They have a fleet of Topper Topaz dinghies as well as a variety of other crafts to help revive the seafaring traditions of sailing, whilst also helping to promote the area as a watersports haven in West Donegal.

What they say

I travel a lot so I'm always looking for interesting places to stay - anything to avoid another carbon copy hotel - and this has got to be one of the best local travel sites I've seen. Plenty of detail, tons of photos, excellent location info and clear pricing - everything I need to make an informed call. Great job and I'll be recommending the site to anyone else I know who's travelling in Donegal.
