Greenhills Cottage - Dunfanaghy

Greenhills Cottage is located 3km outside Dunfanaghy village on the coastal road to Falcarragh in North West Donegal. This first rate holiday home is located in the foothills of the majestic mountains that dominate the landscape along this rugged northern coastline - a range that starts with nearby Muckish and ends with Errigal.

The holiday home is furnished to a 4 star standard throughout with the aim of making the holiday experience as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. There are 4 spacious bedrooms to sleep up to 10  - 2 ensuite double bedrooms on the ground floor and 2 very large 'family bedrooms' on the first floor - each with a double and single bed.

Wonderful Beaches

The area around the holiday home is renowned for its golden sandy beaches. The fabulous Tramore Strand is nearby. This is one of the last truly unspoilt beaches in the country. Some local knowledge is required to access this beautiful beach but the effort will be richly rewarded. In addition to Tramore  there are six other superb beaches in this beautiful part of Donegal – Killahoey in Dunfanaghy, Portnablagh, Marble Hill Ards and Falcarragh

Dunfanaghy Village

Dunfanaghy village itself is  a 5 minute drive from the holiday home. This  vibrant seaside village has  fine restaurants, friendly traditional pubs, craft shops and art galleries. It also has a well established Festival programme which runs throughout the year and includes a Seafood Festival, a Jazz and Blues Festival and a Halloween Madness Festival.

Activities

Fishing is available in nearby Purt Lake, New Lake and Sessiagh Lake. Sea Angling can be enjoyed at Portnablagh. There is a fine 18 hole golf links in Dunfanaghy and a challenging 9 hole course near Falcarragh.

Greenhills Cottage is centrally located along the North Donegal coastline. Mountain climbing and hill walking are popular in this spectacular landscape with Muckish, Errigal and the Derryveagh mountains all easily reachable.  There are also a number of beautiful coastal and forest walks in the region - including numerous walking trails in the wonderful Ards Forest Park.

The holiday home has a bright modern kitchen that has been beautifully crafted. In addition to all the usual mod cons there is a large American style fridge freezer with chilled water dispenser. The dining area features a sturdy table and 6 chairs. Glass patio doors lead out to the back yard

  Living Room

The spacious living room in the holiday home  has been beautifully furnished and decorated. The wood carved fireplace, together with the rug and cushions provide  splashes of colour contrasting with the neutral, elegant choice of materials.

  Bedrooms

The holiday home has spacious bedroom accommodation for up to 10 people. There are two very large bedrooms on the first floor - each having a double bed and a single bed. These family rooms enjoy lovely hill and countryside views. Located between these rooms is a bathroom.

There are two wonderful ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor of the holiday home. Top quality furniture, fixtures and fittings have been used in these rooms - and throughout the rest of the holiday home. All four bedrooms have carpeted floors

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
