Greystones cottage is a beautiful holiday home located just outside the village of Carrigart on the North Donegal coast. The cottage is designed to make maximum use of natural sunlight -  and its elevated site enables it to enjoy wonderful views of the local countryside and coastline.

The cottage has a spacious open plan living area with a large fireplace as its focal point. Stairs lead from this area to a large minstrel gallery upstairs that enjoys wonderful views. The cottage can sleep up to 7 people - there is an en-suite double room, a single room and a family room with a double and single bed.

For the golf enthusiast the cottage provides an ideal base to play some of the great links courses of North Donegal. The cottage actually overlooks the St Patrick's Course in Carrigart - this course is currently in the process of being redesigned by the legendary Jack Nicklaus. A  5 minutes drive away are the two splendid championship golf links at Rosapenna -  the Old Tom Morris Course and the Sandy Hills Course. Within half an hours drive of the cottage there are two more excellent links courses – Portsalon and Dunfanaghy.

For the diving enthusiast the cottage is also well located. It is situated close to the Mevagh Dive Centre in Carrigart  which is Donegal's first purpose built dive centre. In addition the owners of the cottage are keen divers and will be able to provide valuable local knowledge on this topic.

Greystones cottage is also ideally located to tour the superb scenery of north Donegal. A short distance from the holiday home is the renowned Atlantic Drive. This is a scenic drive starting in Downings and continuing around the breathtaking Rosguil Peninsula.

The natural terrain of the Rosguil Peninsula and the waters of Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay provide the basis for many of the  activities that the visitor can enjoy. In addition to deep sea diving  there are many water based activities in the Carrigart/Downings area - including windsurfing, swimming, sea angling and boat charters. Horse riding and hill walking are popular local activities. There is also an abundance of golden sandy beaches.

3 km form the cottage is the charming village of Glen where you will find the renowned Mary's Pub and Restaurant. This is a traditional pub/restaurant that serves excellent food.

Moving outside the Rosquil Peninsula the visitor can discover the stunning and varied coastal landscapes in such areas as Horn Head, Bloody Foreland, the Rosses and the Fanad Peninsula. The delightful Ards Forest Park near Cresslough is well worth a visit - this national park can actually be seen from the cottage!  Moving inland you have the majestic and unspoilt Donegal Highlands where the truly magnificent Glenveagh National Park is located.
