There are multiple access points to the extensive wood deck patio area. This holiday home was created very much with abundant space in mind, with open plan living areas, high vaulted ceilings and numerous windows taking in panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Grianan View
holiday home is bright and welcoming with private and south
facing decking and garden area – plenty of open space for the kids to
play. Built in recent years, this six-bed holiday property combines all
the best elements of country living with modern comforts, while also
taking great advantage of the surrounding scenic landscape and proximity
to Ireland's best preserved Historic Walled City. As this property sits right on the Derry/Donegal border, experience the best of both worlds. Take a trip to the bottom of the garden, hop the fence and you’re there. You will spot numerous strollers in the vicinity as regular walkers and runners use the nearby roads. Currency reminder: Euros in Donegal and Sterling in Derry The holiday home faces south towards Inch Island, the upper reaches of Lough Swilly and the ancient ring fort from which the house takes its name. The centre of historic Derry City, with its theatre, cinema, museums, shops and restaurants is only a 10 min drive by car. Letterkenny, Donegal's main town, is a 25 min drive and the house is ideally located at the base of the Inishowen peninsula. The long sandy beach at Lisfannon on the shores of Lough Swilly is a 15 min drive away. A new car ferry service to Rathmullan operates during summer months from the pier at Buncrana and this opens up further touring possibilities. Buncrana also has a marvellous outdoor kids play area, leisure centre with swimming pool, vintage car museum and numerous shops and restaurants. A music festival is held here during July celebrating the rich Irish traditional music heritage of the region.
