It also benefits from a secure gated play area to the rear of the property.
The holiday home is conveniently placed for golf, fishing, hill walks, horse riding and water sports. There are several magnificent beaches in the immediate vicinity. The nearby Rosapenna Golf Links boasts two renowned 18 hole championship courses. A further 2 miles brings you to the picturesque village of Carrigart where you will find an equestrian centre and the Mevagh Dive Centre - Donegal's first purpose built dive centre. Harbour Heights is also within walking distance of the restaurants at Rosapenna Hotel and the newly built Downings Bay Hotel.
The village of Downings itself is a very popular tourist resort and fishing port with lively pubs and night-life. It is situated on the beautiful Rosquil Peninsula. This peninsula divides Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay and contains spectacular scenery as well as many fine sandy beaches. The famous Atlantic Drive is a short but very dramatic road around the Peninsula. The drive is only about 12km long so you can best appreciate it if you cycle or walk. The walk can be comfortably completed in half a day.
The Lough Salt Drive is another scenic dive in the immediate locality. This drive will bring you through the village of Glen where the renowned Glen Bar is situated. This cosy pub is full of atmosphere and serves excellent food.
Within a thirty minute drive of the cottage there are numerous things to do and places to visit. You have the majestic Glenveagh National Park and the beautiful Ards Forest Park.The lakeside centre in Dunlewy has something for all the family. In Dunfanaghy there is a workhouse famine museum. Churchill has the famous Glebe House & Gallery as well as the Colmcille Heritage Centre. Letterkenny has all the amenities you would expect to find in a large town - cinemas, museum, theatre, leisure centres, art galleries and excellent shopping. Tory Island and the ancient walled city of Derry are highly recommended day trips.

The well equipped kitchen has a microwave, electric oven, gas hob and fridge. There is a washing machine and freezer in a separate utility room. The window beside the dining table goes right up to the ceiling and provides superb sea views
The holiday home has a conservatory style open plan living area. The wonderful use of glass floods this area with light creating a marvellous sense of openness, light and space. The views of Downings Bay are truly breathtaking
