Inniskil Lodge - Rathmullan

Inniskil Lodge is 5 mins from Rathmullan and is a truly luxurious log cabin which is situated in one of the most outstanding locations in Donegal. Oozing with luxury, this authentic log cabin is constructed from Scandinavian Redwood and nestles discreetly on an elevated site with exquisite panoramic sea views over Lough Swilly towards the hills of Inishowen providing spectacular scenery across the Lough and beyond.

The extensive decked area at the front of the cabin takes full advantage of the fantastic sea views and enables the extensive open plan living space to be extended to a delightful and resplendent outside space. The spacious Cabin is equipped & furnished to a very high specification and is equally suitable for a romantic getaway or a family holiday.

Rathmullan Village

Rathmullan village is an ancient harbour village well remembered for the historical Flight of the Earls in 1607. South from Rathmullan is Ramelton - one of just two heritage towns in Co Donegal. Ramelton sits at the mouth of the River Lennon and has several buildings of historic note. A famous Country Market is held in the town hall every Saturday.

A car ferry service operates from Rathmullan pier to Buncrana in the summer months. Buncrana has an indoor leisure centre & swimming pool, a large outdoor kids playground and an excellent selection of shops & restaurants.

North Donegal

Head north to  Portsalon on one of the most spectacular drives in Ireland  to the remarkable Ballymastocker Bay. This is a Blue Flag beach and has been voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.  
Further afield you can visit Fanad Peninsula, Downings, The Atlantic Drive and Dunfanaghy. Other places well worth a visit include Glenveagh National Park & Castle. Letterkenny, Donegal’s main town is 20 mins drive away & has a great selection of shops, 5 screen cinemas, bowling alley & swimming pool.

Activities in the area include golfing at Portsalon and Otway, boat charters for fishing and marine sighteeing at Rathmullan Pier, sailing and kayaking available from Rathmullan Watersports and Sailing School. Cross over the amazing Harry Blaney Bridge to Carrigart and Downings for Surfing & Kite Surfing or visit the Golden Sands equestrian centre for pony trekking. Rathmullan House Hotel, located 5 mins away is a beautiful spot for dinner and spa treatments.

Living Space

  Kitchen and Dining Area

The open plan living area is divided between the comfortable living area and the spacious kitchen space which is located at the front of the house. Sliding doors lead from the dining area to a decked area complete with comfortable outside furniture for 8 people, deck chairs and gas Outback Barbeque. A separate utility room has a washing machine and storage space.

  Living Area

The open plan living area is located at the front of the house. It has a cosy wood burning stove and full length windows which provide magnificent views over Lough Swilly and the Inishowen Peninsula. It is furnished to a very high standard with a large comfortable sofa, several armchairs, rocking chair, 37 inch Plasma Flat screen TV with DVD Player and features a wooden floor. There is a well stocked bookcase which also contains a large selection of board games and DVDS

  Bedrooms

• Bedroom 1:  Double bedroom on ground floor, wooden floor, located at the back of the cabin.
• Bedroom 2:  Double bedroom on ground floor, wooden floor, located at the back of the cabin.
• Bedroom 3:   This very spacious ensuite bedroom with games area occupies the 1st floor of the cottage and will sleep up to 4 people.

The first floor bedroom doubles as a games room and has a 6ft Snooker Table, TV and DVD Player and a selection of games. The spacious ensuite provides a very useful second shower room.
