Accommodation in a Dramatic Setting

Living room with carpet floor and log burning fireplace with panoramic sea views on the ‘Wild Atlantic Way’. Dining room and kitchen fully equipped (gas cooker) and also has sea views. Utility room. Three bedrooms each contain one double bed.  A family bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and wash hand basin.   A separate toilet and wash hand basin.

The Wild Atlantic Way

The holiday home is located along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way - Irelands long distance driving route. Using this route is a great way to explore the dramatic coastline of the Inishowen Peninsula that surrounds the homes. Dolphins and Basking sharks are frequent visitors to the waters in the locality.

Aurora Borealis / Northern Lights

The many cliffs, headlands and rocky outcrops are home to numerous sea birds. North Inishowen is also one of the best places in Ireland to see the Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights. Irelands most Northerly point is Banbas Crown at Malin Head. - a Signature Point on the Wild Atlantic Way. Inishowen has managed to retained a good number of traditional thatched cottages which adds to the attractiveness of the rugged landscape.

Althought the holiday homes are located in a tranquil rural location they are a short drive away from 2 of Inishowens most popular coastal resorts - Greencastle (8km) and Moville (10km).

Local Attractions / Amenities

  • Try kayaking at the Inish Adventures centre based in nearby Moville. This centre offers inland and sea level kayak training as well as tours by canoe and kayak
  • Enjoy some award winning bar food in the locality including Kealys Seafood Bar in Greencastle, Rosatto’s in Moville and McGrory’s in Culdaff
  • Play a round of golf at the scenic 18 hole Greencastle Golf Club . The internationally renowned Ballylifffin Golf Club is 30km away.
  • Visit the Inishowen Maritime Museum and Planetarium overlooking Greencastle harbour. The state-of-the-art Planetarium gives the visitor the ability to see how mariners used to navigate with the stars, and also provide dazzling astronomy and light shows. Facilities include gift shop and tea room.
  • Enjoys a stroll along the scenic coastal path between Greencastle and Moville.
  • Take a trip to some of the many fine beaches in the locality. In addition to Kinnagoe there are fine beaches at Stroove, Culdaff and Five Finger Strand near Malin
  • Go sea angling from Culdaff. The Inishowen Boating Company operates 2 purpose built fast charter boats from Bunagee Pier Culdaff (22km). These fully licenced vessels offer sea angling and sight seeing on Lough Foyle.
  • Visit the newly renovated Isle of Doagh Famine Village near Ballyliffin. This wonderful attraction depicts life in Donegal at different stages throughout history in an informative and enjoyable tour
  • Other major attractions in the locality are Malin Head, the Gap of Mamore, Dunree Military Museum and the historic Walled City of Derry (35km).

BOOKING deposit of 50%  - with balance to be paid four weeks prior to the letting period. 

SECURITY deposit:  €100 or £100 payable in cash on arrival, refundable in cash on departure after house inspection

ELECTRICITY & OIL: The elec/oil are metered, we read meters with you on arrival and again on departure, amount used is payable on departure.
