The focal point of the cottage is the welcoming open fire complete with its original cooking utensils. The original crook is still intact along with the various cooking pots that add a romantic charm. The cottage has been developed to provide modern amenities without losing its traditional appeal. The cottage is located in the beautiful Fanad Peninsula which runs north from the town of Milford to Fanad Head and on its eastern shores is the famous Knockalla Coast Road which has spectacular views of Lough Swilly and the Inishowen Hills. Many of Donegal’s tourist attractions are a short drive away, including Fanad Head Lighthouse, Portsalon Harbour/Beach and Glenveagh National Park . The area has some of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in Ireland, including the blue flag Magherawarden Beach as well as numerous bays and small lakes. Keadue Cottage is an ideal location for hill walking, touring, golfing, pony trekking, surfing, fishing or just getting away from the hustle and bustle of modern day life.
