Teach Aine - Kincasslagh

Our lovely holiday cottage in the hills outside the seaside village of Kincasslagh is situated in Belcruit in the northwest of Ireland. This cottage is available for rent all seasons on a Saturday to Saturday basis.

Local Area and Attractions

The friendly, quiet neighbourhood is perfect for walkers, swimmers, fishermen, painters, photographers, Irish pub music fans, links golfers (full 18 hole on Cruit Island) and nature lovers. Terrific mountain views, perfect peace and less than 5 miles from a resort town "Dungloe" that's well equipped with grocers, craft shops and several pubs.

Other attractions in this part of Donegal include the breathtaking Glenveigh National Park and the family orientated Dunlewey Centre.This centre has lots of different attractions -children's play area, farm yard, boat trips, craft shop, weaving house, audio visuals, etc.

The islands of Tory, Aranmore and Gola are all within easy reach of the cottage. Also within easy reach of the cottage are good restaurants and friendly pubs including the famous Leo's Tavern - the home of both Clannad and Enya .

Local Amenities

Kincasslagh village, famed for its link with the singer Daniel O'Donnell, is close by. The village's only pub is called Iggy's Bar and is one of the dwindling number of traditional pubs left in modern Ireland. The village's shop, called The Cope, is part of a co-operative retail chain indigenous to the area.

Donegal Airport is a short from the cottage. Flights to and from Dublin are on a daily schedule with a less frequent service to Glasgow-Prestwick. Car rental companies operate at the airport.

Whether it's a relaxing retreat or taking advantage of the excellent amenities available in the area, Teach Aine is the ideal base for you to enjoy your break in west Donegal.
