Set in a quiet and peaceful location, at the end of a cul-de-sac in the new Cara Bay development in Culdaff, - Kinnagoe Cottage makes an ideal touring base for this most northerly part of Ireland, and would be quite suitable for families, or small groups of up to six.

Surrounding Area

Cara Bay lies on the edge of the Culdaff River estuary, and is approximately a mile away from a lovely sandy blue flag beach. Near the beach car park, is a recently constructed childrens play area. The beach has a picturesque little fishing harbour on its west end, sheltered by Bunagee Pier, a popular fishing spot. With the right wind and tide conditions, the beach also provides an excellent venue for surfers.

Within the town, the main attraction is without doubt - McGrorys.
A pub, restaurant, hotel and music venue, - with fine food, good service and great craíc.
The establishment has been going since 1924, and its Macs Backroom Bar is an essential part of the itinerary of many international and national musicians touring Ireland. The front bar is one of the finest pubs in Inishowen, with its natural stonework, rugged beams, and a warm, welcoming, open fire blazing in the corner on a cold winters night. It is a regular attraction throughout the year, with traditional Irish music sessions every Tuesday and Friday, featuring some of Donegals finest traditional musicians.

What they say

I travel a lot so I'm always looking for interesting places to stay - anything to avoid another carbon copy hotel - and this has got to be one of the best local travel sites I've seen. Plenty of detail, tons of photos, excellent location info and clear pricing - everything I need to make an informed call. Great job and I'll be recommending the site to anyone else I know who's travelling in Donegal.
