Knockalla Coastguard Cottages are located on an elevated site and overlook the Inishowen Peninsula across a broad expanse of Lough Swilly. The cottages are just off the main scenic road between Rathmullan and Portsalon and make an ideal venue for your self catering holiday in Donegal.

Beautiful Donegal famous for its dramatic coastal scenery, wild and rugged with spectacular sea and skyscapes where the air is so effervescent it is a tonic in itself. Just the place to escape the humdrum of daily routine, traffic jams and stress of the 21st century.

Watch the sea in all its moods, wild and frenetic to calm and as languid as a millpond. Climb the Knockalla Mountains for fantastic views of Mulroy Bay and the headlands of the Fanad, Rosguil and Inishowen Peninsulas. Fanad has some of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Donegal. There is also array of outdoor facilities: fishing, golf, horse riding, watersports, good restaurants and pubs all in the locality.
