Lake View Cottage is a charming holiday home located just outside  the village of  Milford in North Donegal.  The cottage is set amid rolling countryside and is ideal for those looking for a quiet country retreat. The traditional country roads and lanes surrounding the holiday home are ideal for walkers and cyclists

The cottage is situated in the centre of a working farm . While staying at Lake View Cottage you can walk through green fields and listen to the everyday sounds of a working farm. The land around the house is a fantastic playground for children with trees to climb and lots of open space to run around in.  The small lake to the rear of the cottage is a magnet for bird life.

A  very short drive will bring you into the busy market town of Milford - and to the shores of Mulroy Bay. The cottage is 4 miles from the heritage village of Ramelton and 9 miles from the popular seaside resort of Rathmullan.  A 20 minute drive will bring you to the fabulous beach and golf course at Portsalon. 

The cottage is less than 2 miles from the Milford Inn Hotel  - which makes it an attractive accommodation option for those attending weddings in this popular establishment.

For larger groups there is another holiday home on the same farmland.  This holiday home can accommodate up to 9 people - and together the two holiday homes can accommodate a group of  15.

Local Activities / Attractions
•Golf at Portsalon Golf Club. This classic 18 hole links course is 20 minutes drive form the holiday home
•Go sea angling on Lough Swilly or fly fishing on Lough Fern
•Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep – Rathmullan  Portsalon and Downings
•Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.
•Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
•Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk

This holiday home is an excellent location for a range of activities including golf, hill walking, horse riding and angling. For those for whom such pursuits are a little energetic, it’s also the perfect location for a relaxing getaway
