Decorative sheds lie adjacent to the house to provide alternative focal points or quiet
places to relax. Ideal spots for having a barbeque or enjoying a glass of wine.

The little wooden reading house perched above the rockery (below), is the ideal place to enjoy a good book or simply relax in its shade and listen to the sound of the river. The rockery contains a blend of plant species from Donegal; such as the wild grasses from the dunes at Fintra beach or heather from the nearby mountains. The gooseberry and blackcurrant bushes annually bear fruit.

The deck area at the back of the house (see collage on front page) enjoys the morning sun and is a unique place to dine 'al fresco'. Overhanging the river, it provides stunning views of the cascading waterfalls. The peaceful flow of the river is the ideal accompaniment to an evening of rest and relaxation.

The upper area of the property holds the ruins of an incomplete mill where the sluice gates bear testimony to the rich heritage of the vast Fintra Estate of which the grounds were once part.
