Log an tSeanti - Derrybeg

Log an tSeanti is located in the Derrybeg area of Gweedore in the wild and rugged beauty of West Donegal. The deceptively spacious cottage can accommodate 8 people. It features the extra luxury of a sauna to help you relax and unwind.

The name Log an tSeanti means "site of the old house". This modern luxury cottage was built on the site of an original farmhouse. The stones of the farmhouse were used to build the attractive granite wall to the front of the new house.

The ground floor of the house consists of an open plan kitchen/living area, a sun room with dining table, an en-suite master bedroom, and a separate bathroom with sauna. Upstairs has a large en-suite double bedroom, a single room and another double room. There is a lawn to both the front and back of the holiday home.

Surrounding Area

Set is a quiet and peaceful location Log an tSeanti is an ideal location to explore the natural beauty of West Donegal. Local activities in the Derrybeg area include fishing (freshwater and deep sea), golf  swimming and  hill walking - Errigal and the Derryveagh mountains are only 15 minutes drive away. A trip to one of the local islands - Gola, Tory or Inishbofin - is a great way to spend a day.

The cottage is located in the heart of Donegals main Gaeltacht area - enabling the visitor to absorb the culture and heritage of this unique region where Irish is still the main everyday language.

Attractions

Some of the main attractions in this part of Donegal include the majestic Glenveigh National Park and the family orientated Dunlewey Lakeside Centre. This centre has lots of different attractions to keep all the family entertained - childrens play area, farm yard, boat trips, craft shop, weaving house, audio visuals, etc. When you rent Log an tSeanti you get a complimentary family pass to this wonderful facility.

  Main Living Area

The holiday home has a spacious living room with an adjacent kitchen area. The double doors lead to the bright sun room where the dining table is located. The living room has a 21 inch Panasonic TV, dvd and video player. It also features a Stanley solid fuel stove. The kitchen area has all the modern appliances  necessary to take the stress out of self catering.

  Dining Room

The sun room of the holiday home features two large windows which flood the room with light. The dining table can sit up to 8 people. The room has a wooden ceiling as well as a wooden floor.

  Bedrooms

The main bedroom of the holiday home is located on the ground floor and has en-suite facilities. There are 3 more bedrooms upstairs including

• 1 double en-suite bedrrom.
• 1 double bedroom with an extra folding bed
• 1 single room with toilet and washbasin.

The bedrooms upstairs are carpeted.
A cot is also available.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
