This delightful and spacious 4 bedroom holiday home, which sleeps 8, is set in fabulous surroundings in the village of Fahan on the shores of Lough Swilly on the Inishowen Peninsula. Fahan is nestled quietly some 8 miles from Derry and 5 miles from Buncrana. On one side of this sleepy hamlet rise magnificent foothills, lush with evergreen trees and mature flora and on the other side Fahan gives way to Lough Swilly with its uncompromising coastline and stunning views over Inch Island and Rathmullan. The house is 15 minutes walk from the marina, the yacht club and the beach.

The location is an excellent base for golfing, fishing, horse riding and walking holidays. Fahan provides the ideal base for touring the spectacular Donegal and Antrim coastlines famous for their rugged coastal scenery and unspoilt beaches.

Leisure Facilities: The leisure centre in Buncrana (Tel: 07493 61000) has a fully equipped gym, swimming pool (25x10 metre) sauna, steam room and fitness studio.

Golfing: Golf is very popular and well accommodated in this area. There are 18 golf courses in Co. Donegal including many scenic seaside links. Within four kilometres of the house is the North West Golf Club (Tel: 07493 61027) an 18 hole course. In addition the championship course at Ballyliffin, (Tel: 07493 76119), is 20 minutes away.

Eating Out - The Beach House Bar & Restaurant (07493 61050) located on the Pier in Buncrana & overlooking Lough Swilly is well worth a visit. The Beach House serves modern international cuisine with an emphasis on local produce. Some of our favourite dishes include fresh steamed mussels with a white wine garlic cream sauce, followed by crispy
orange glazed duck with diced fresh mango & noodle salad and to finish a luscious homemade dessert for example our steamed chocolate pudding & a
fine Italian coffee. Other dishes include fresh fish, quality Irish lamb, beef & vegetarian choices.
