Macalla Cottage Gweedore is a 4 Star Fáilte Ireland approved traditional cottage located in the picturesque Gaeltacht village of Crolly which lies along the route of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. The cottage nestles between the mountains and the sea. The quaint ambience of this unique cottage will help you unwind and drift back in time as you relax in front of the cosy open fire.
Macalla Cottage has been meticulously renovated by the owner and his son in a true labour of love. The cottage now consists of three bedrooms (one en-suite) fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons, a spacious dining room and relaxing sitting room. The original flagstone floors in the sitting room and dining room together with the open turf fire create a quaint and inviting atmosphere. I travel a lot so I'm always looking for interesting places to stay - anything to avoid another carbon copy hotel - and this has got to be one of the best local travel sites I've seen. Plenty of detail, tons of photos, excellent location info and clear pricing - everything I need to make an informed call. Great job and I'll be recommending the site to anyone else I know who's travelling in Donegal.
