Magheradrummond Cottage
is a recently renovated farmhouse located midway between the villages of Ramelton and Milford in North Donegal.  The cottage is set amid rolling countryside and is ideal for those looking for a quiet country retreat. The traditional country roads and lanes surrounding the holiday home are ideal for walkers and cyclists

The cottage is centrally located to explore the natural beauty of North Donegal. It is 3 miles from the heritage village of Ramelton and 3 miles from the busy market town of Milford. It is 7 miles from the popular seaside resort of Rathmullan

The nearby village of Ramelton is steeped in history and heritage. It has managed to hold on to much of its old world charm and character through preserving many of the fine historical Georgian buildings that make the village unique in this part of Ireland. The village is not only blessed with wonderful architecture, but also with a delightful location on the banks of the River Lennon.

Within this beautiful architectural setting there is a vibrant village with many amenities for you to enjoy during your visit. The recently renovated Town Hall is the venue for a variety of entertainment including concerts and stage plays. The weekly Country Market is renowned for fresh vegetables, home baking and local handcrafted gifts. The village has many quaint pubs - the Bridge Bar is a highly regarded music venue while Conway's Pub enables the visitor to take a step back in time. Located along the beautiful quay is the building that houses the Ramelton Heritage Centre.

A 10 minute drive from the cottage will bring you to the Rathmullan has a beautiful sandy beach and a small marina where charter boats can be hired for sightseeing tours on Lough Swilly or for deep-sea angling. The village has a number of top class restaurants as well as a number of good bar food establishments. The village is also the location of the Flight of the Earls Heritage Centre

The cottage is less than 2 km from the Milford Inn Hotel which makes it an attractive accommodation option for those attending weddings in this popular establishment

•Golf at Portsalon Golf Club. This classic 18 hole links course is 20 minutes drive form the holiday home
•Go sea angling on Lough Swilly or fly fishing on Lough Fern
•Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep – Rathmullan  Portsalon and Downings
•Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.
•Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
•Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk
